A one-day awareness programme on HIV/ AIDS and Substance Abuse was successfully conducted by the Assam State AIDS Control Society in association with Health & Hygiene Cell & IQAC, Mangaldai Commerce College on 2nd September of 2025 in the Digital Conference Hall, Mangaldai Commerce College. The programme aimed to educate students about the awareness on HIV/ AIDS and Substance Abuse. The event witnessed participation of over 70 students, along with faculty members and non-teaching staff of the college.
The Programme started with the welcome address delivered by Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c) of Mangaldai Commerce College. Mr. Dipaka Saikia, Counsellor, Mangaldai Civil Hospital delivered valuable speech on ill effects of HIV/AIDS among the students and community at large. Mrs. Poonam Das Saharia, Convenor, Health & Hygiene Cell initiated the programme and finally offered vote of thanks for successful.
