Along with the entire nation, Mangaldai Commerce College celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2025 with great enthusiasm on the birthday of eminent philosopher, academician, and second president as well as first vice president of India, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. The day long programme was organized by the Students’ Union of the college. The programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp before the portrait of Dr. Radhakrishan by Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c) of the college. He also put a garland on the photograph of Dr. Radhakrishan to pay him homage. Then the Principal congratulated the teachers and acknowledged the sincere efforts they put in every day. He gave a valuable speech on Dr. Radhakrishan and explained the importance of Teachers’ Day. “Eucalyptus”, a Wall Magazine was also inaugurated by Mr. Prabodh Sarma, Head, Department of Economics as a tribute to all teachers on this special day. All the faculty members, Librarian and non-teaching staff of the college were felicitated with Phulam Gamosa and Saplings by the Students’ Union of the college. Finally, the programme successfully concluded with the vote of thanks offered by Mr. Mrinal Kumar Deka, General Secretary of Mangaldai Commerce College.
