The Department of Accountancy, Mangaldai Commerce College marked a significant milestone on May 30, 2025, as it celebrated "Commerce Day" in commemoration of 102nd death anniversary of Sadagar Bholanath Borooah. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Ujjwal Jyoti Saharia, Assistant Coordinator of IQAC, to the gathering. Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c), delivered the inaugural address and highlighted significant contributions of Bholanath Borooah in the field of trade and commerce. The event was graced by several esteemed guests from the academic community and social activities, including Mr. Bhargab Kumar Das, Senior Journalist, The Sentinel, and Mr. Biswajit Deka, Founder, Zengrai Group, Mangaldai, Darrang, Assam. The program concluded with the formal vote of thanks offered by Mrs. Satarupa Devi, Head, Department of Accountancy, Mangaldai Commerce College.
