On 12th August 2025, Mangaldai Commerce College Library celebrated the National Librarian’s Day as a mark of honour to S.R. Ranganathan on his 133rd birth anniversary in presence of teaching staff, library staff and students .The lighting of the lamp and floral tribute ceremony was honoured by Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c), Mangaldai Commerce College, Mr. Gautam Kumar Baruah, the Librarian of Mangaldai Commerce College offered flowers followed by the teachers and library staff. A speech, on the life of S.R. Ranganathan was given by the Principal (i/c) thereafter. The flower offering ceremony was observed throughout the day in his honour.
