The Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Darang-Udalguri District Branch successfully organized the 150th Anniversary Celebration of the National Song Vande Mataram on 19th July 2026 at the Mangaldai Commerce College Campus. The programme was conducted with great enthusiasm and witnessed the active participation of scholars, literary personalities, dignitaries, members of the Parishad, students, and invited guests.
The celebration commenced in a solemn and patriotic atmosphere, paying tribute to the enduring legacy of Vande Mataram, a symbol of India's freedom movement, cultural heritage, and national identity.
A major highlight of the programme was the Lecture Session on the theme "From Self-Realization to Universal Consciousness." Distinguished speakers delivered insightful and thought-provoking addresses, emphasizing the relevance of Indian philosophical traditions, spiritual awakening, and the universal values of harmony, humanity, and nation-building. The deliberations inspired the audience to reflect upon the deeper significance of self-awareness and collective consciousness in contemporary society.
The event also featured a Book Launch Ceremony, during which an important literary publication was formally released in the presence of eminent scholars and guests. The ceremony celebrated the rich literary and cultural heritage of the region while encouraging intellectual and creative pursuits.
Another significant component of the programme was the First Annual General Meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Darang-Udalguri District Branch, where members reviewed the branch's activities, discussed future plans, and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting literature, culture, and national values throughout the district.
