The Carrer Counselling Cell of Mangaldai Commerce College in association with IQAC, Mangaldai Commerce College organized a Career Counselling Programme for CA aspirants on 8th August from 1.00 p.m. onwards. CA. Babulal Chowhan, Charted Accountant, Guwahati & Former Student of Mangaldai Commerce College and CA Sheetal Chowhan, Charted Accountant were the resource persons of the programme.
Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c) of the College welcomed the gathering and briefed the students about the CA course offered by Institute of Charted Accounting of India (ICAI). Mr. Kamaleswar Deka, Assistant Professor, Department of Finance, Mangaldai Commerce College introduced the Resource CA. Babulal Chowhan and CA Sheetal Chowhan.
CA. Babulal Chowhan commenced the session by narrating an anecdote to get the students full attention. He went on to convince the gathering that even an average student can become a Chartered Accountant. He stressed upon the significance of the CA profession and its relevance in various sectors, like finance, taxation auditing, and to the government. CA. Babulal Chowhan outlined the eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam structure and the fee structure of the CA course. The other resource person and CA Sheetal Chowhan also highlighted the importance of hard work and perseverance in completing the CA course.
Both resource persons the queries/ doubts of the students in a Q&A session after of their presentation. Mr. Kamaleswar Deka, Assistant Professor, Mangaldai Commerce College proposed the Vote of Thanks for the session. A total of 120 students from B. Com Programme attended the session.
