Mangaldai Commerce College celebrated Bishnu Rabha Divas on 20th June 2025 by organizing a daylong programme. The programme was started at 11 AM by lighting the lamp to offer homage to legendary Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha. Dr. Hemanta Chakravarty, HoD, Department of Management, Mangaldai Commerce College, inaugurated the program. He delivered an insightful speech detailing the lifelong journey of renowned Bishnu Rabha. Mrs. Poonam Das Saharia, Assistant Professor, Department of ITB, performed "Rabha Sangeet," written by Bishu Prasad. An essay competition was also held among the students on the theme "Contribution of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha towards Assamese Culture & Literature." The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Rinamani Sarmah Bordoloi, HoD, Department of BMST, Mangaldai Commerce College, and the first three position holders in the competition were awarded. The event ended with the “Jatiya Sangeet of Assam." Mrs. Minu Bora, HoD, Department of Assamese, initiated the program and offered a formal vote of thanks to all the faculty members and students on the successful completion of the event.
