Mangaldai Commerce College celebrated Freshman Social with a daylong programme. The programme started with the hoisting of the college flag and inaugural speech by Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c) of the college followed by Swahid Tarpan by Dr. Rinamani Sarma Bordoloi, Head, Department of BMST. After this, Dr. Dhiren Deka, Coordinator of IQAC & Mr. Babul Dutta, Assistant Professor, Department of Management planted a few valuable saplings as a mark of celebration of Freshman Social. "Anuraron" a Wall Magazine is also inaugurated by Mrs. Minu Bora, Head, Department of Assamese.
Mr. Prabodh Sarma, Head, Department of Economics formally inaugurated the “Nabagat Sa Sinaki Parba”, which is coordinated by Mr. Partha Pratim Deka, Assistant Professor, Department of Management. In connection with the celebration an open session was held and Prof. Paresh Kumar Sarma, Former, Coordinator of IQAC and Head, Department of Economics, Mangaldai College and also GU Nominee of the Governing Body, Mangaldai Commerce College acted as chief guest of the session. The open session was started with the "Samabeta sangeet (chorus music)" by the faculty members of the college. Various cultural programmes such as dances, songs, drama and other activities were performed in the programme. In the afternoon popular vocalist Rupankrita & Alankrita Kalita participated in the cultural function. The entire freshman social function was anchored by Mr. Ujjwal Jyoti Saharia, Assistant Coordinator of IQAC of the college.
