The Students’ Union & Alumni of Mangaldai Commerce College with the support of local people of the Mangaldai area, undertook a noble humanitarian initiative to extend assistance to people affected by the recent devastating floods. The relief distribution programme was organized on 1st August 2026 at Sivasagar, Assam.
As part of the initiative, essential relief materials were distributed among the flood-affected people to provide them with necessary support during this difficult period. The programme reflected the values of social responsibility, empathy, solidarity and community service among the students.
The initiative aimed to stand beside the affected families and help them cope with the hardships caused by the devastating floods. The active participation of the students demonstrated their commitment to serving society and contributing to the welfare of the community.
The relief distribution programme was widely appreciated as a meaningful effort to extend a helping hand to the flood-affected people. It also served as an inspiring example of compassion, social responsibility and collective action for the welfare of society.
