The Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Rajyoga Education Centre (Tapashya Dham), Gerimari, Mangaldai, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Mangaldai Commerce College, successfully organized a Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Programme on 13th August 2026 at the College Campus.
The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of intoxicating substances and highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy, disciplined and responsible lifestyle. The initiative aimed to encourage students to stay away from substance abuse and contribute towards building a healthier and addiction-free society.
The programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by Mr. Ujjwal Jyoti Saharia, Co-ordinator, IQAC, Mangaldai Commerce College.
The programme was graced by Sister Janaki, Brahma Kumari, Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Rajyoga Education Centre, Gerimari, Mangaldai, who attended the programme as the Resource Person. Through her informative and inspiring session, she highlighted the physical, mental and social consequences of substance abuse. She emphasized the importance of self-discipline, positive thinking, healthy lifestyle choices, awareness and collective responsibility in realizing the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and staff of the College. The interactive and motivational session created awareness among the participants and encouraged them to adopt positive habits and make responsible choices in their personal and social lives.
The programme concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, during which the participants reaffirmed their commitment to staying away from intoxicating substances and motivating others to lead healthy, positive and responsible lives. The pledge also reinforced the collective responsibility of students and the wider community in supporting the national mission of creating a drug-free India.
The programme was a meaningful and impactful awareness initiative and contributed significantly towards promoting a healthy, disciplined and substance-free lifestyle among the students and members of the College community.
