The ceremonial function of the Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni–2026, an ambitious initiative of the Government of Assam launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, was organized at Mangaldai Commerce College on 26th February, 2026 in the Digital Conference Hall of the college.
The programme commenced at 11:00 AM with the virtual inauguration by the Hon’ble Chief Minister through video conferencing. The students, faculty members, and staff of the college attended the programme with great enthusiasm and discipline. The live telecast of the inaugural ceremony was arranged to enable participants to witness the official launch of the scheme.
The meeting was presided over by Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c) of the college. In his address, he highlighted the significance of the Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni scheme and appreciated the Government’s initiative towards supporting the economically disadvantaged sections of society. He encouraged the students to take full advantage of such welfare schemes introduced for their benefit.
Faculty members also shared brief views on the importance of educational assistance schemes in promoting inclusiveness and access to higher education. The students actively participated in the programme and expressed their gratitude for such progressive steps taken by the Government.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a senior faculty member, who expressed gratitude to the Government of Assam, the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the organizing committee, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students for making the programme a success.
The programme ended on a positive and hopeful note, reflecting the collective aspiration for educational development and social upliftment.
