The Mangaldai Commerce College Study Centre of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mangaldai Commerce College, organized an Induction Programme for the newly admitted learners on 22nd November 2025 at the college premises.
The programme was organized with the objective of familiarizing the newly admitted learners with the academic framework, procedures, and expectations associated with open and distance learning. Mr. Birinchi Kumar Borah, Assistant Registrar, Study Centre, KKHSOU, Assam, graced the occasion as the Resource Person. In his informative address, he elaborated on various aspects of open and distance learning, university procedures, academic requirements, and the responsibilities of learners. His valuable insights and guidance provided the newly admitted learners with greater clarity and confidence as they commenced their academic journey.
The programme witnessed active participation from the faculty members and learners. The participants engaged enthusiastically in interactive discussions and activities, which contributed to creating an engaging and learner-friendly atmosphere. The session proved to be highly beneficial in helping the learners understand the academic system and the opportunities available through KKHSOU.
The programme was moderated by Mr. Ramen Kalita, Coordinator, Study Centre. Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal (i/c), Mangaldai Commerce College, along with several Associate Professors of the college, graced the occasion with their presence and extended their support and encouragement to the newly admitted learners.
In the concluding session, Mr. Ramen Kalita, Coordinator of the Study Centre, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Resource Person, Principal, faculty members, and all the learners for their active participation and cooperation in making the programme a success.
The Induction Programme concluded successfully, leaving the newly admitted learners encouraged, motivated, and better prepared to begin their academic journey with the Mangaldai Commerce College Study Centre of KKHSOU.
