Mangaldai Commerce College celebrated its 44th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm, dignity, and a deep sense of pride on 2nd August, 2026. The occasion marked another significant milestone in the institution's journey of academic excellence and dedicated service to higher education.
The celebration commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, followed by Shradhanjali, where floral tributes were paid in respectful remembrance of the founders and all those whose invaluable contributions have shaped the growth and development of the college.
A major highlight of the celebration was the 1st Foundation Day Lecture, delivered by the eminent scholar Dr. Diganta Biswa Sarma on the thought-provoking topic, "Indian Philosophy of Education: A Glimpse." Through his scholarly and insightful discourse, Dr. Sarma illuminated the timeless principles, ethical foundations, and holistic vision of the Indian educational tradition. His lecture inspired the audience to appreciate the relevance of indigenous educational philosophies in the contemporary academic landscape and encouraged meaningful reflection on the values that should guide modern education.
As part of the celebrations, a Tree Plantation Programme was organised within the college campus, reaffirming the institution's commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological responsibility. The programme symbolized the college's dedication to nurturing both knowledge and nature.
The event also featured a Felicitation Ceremony in honour of the Founder Members of the college. Their unwavering dedication, vision, and invaluable contributions towards establishing and strengthening the institution were gratefully acknowledged. The felicitation served as a tribute to their pioneering efforts and enduring legacy.
An Interaction Session was subsequently held, providing an opportunity for distinguished guests, alumni, faculty members, students, and well-wishers to share their experiences, memories, and aspirations for the continued progress of the institution. The session fostered a spirit of unity, collaboration, and institutional pride among all participants.
