Free Health Check Up Camp ay Adopted Village

Mangaldai Commerce College, as part of its commitment towards institutional social responsibility and community welfare, organized a Health Camp on 1 June at Gadhiapara Village, an adopted village of the college situated on the outskirts of Mangaldai town. The programme was organized with the objective of extending basic medical services and creating health awareness among the rural populace.
The health camp received an overwhelming response from the villagers. People from different sections of the community participated enthusiastically and availed themselves of free medical consultation, health screening, medical advice, and medicines provided during the camp.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Mr. Ranjit Sarma, Principal, Mangaldai Commerce College. In his inaugural address, Mr. Sarma emphasized the college's responsibility towards the welfare of the surrounding community. He stated that the health camp was a small but meaningful initiative towards fulfilling the institution's social responsibility and expressed the college's commitment to organizing similar community-oriented programmes in the future for the greater interest and well-being of the people.
Dr. Inamul Haque, Medical & Health Officer, Ramhari SHC, and Dr. Upasana Saikia, Medical Officer, Urban Health Centre, extended valuable medical guidance to the villagers. They advised the participants on various aspects of maintaining good health and emphasized the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Their discussions focused on proper hydration, personal hygiene, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and regular physical exercise as essential components of a healthy life.
The programme provided an important opportunity for the college to connect with the local community and contribute towards improving health awareness and access to basic medical services. The successful organization of the camp reflected the institution's continued commitment to community engagement, social responsibility, and inclusive development.
