The Internship Cell, Mangaldai Commerce College, successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on “How to Prepare Internship Report” for the B.Com. 5th Semester students on 29th August 2026. The workshop was organized with the objective of providing students with proper guidance on the preparation, documentation, and successful completion of their internship programme.
The programme commenced with an insightful address by Dr. Rinamani Sarmah Bordoloi, Nodal Officer, Internship Cell, who elaborated on the background, significance, and objectives of the Internship Programme. She explained the importance of internship as a means of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Dr. Sarmah also highlighted various suggested sectors where students could undertake their internships and apprised them of the evaluation criteria and credit-transfer procedures associated with the programme.
The workshop also featured an informative session by Dr. Dhiren Deka, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, who provided detailed guidance on the certification process and the necessary documentation required for successful completion of the internship. He explained the essential components of an internship report and offered valuable suggestions on how students could systematically prepare and present their reports in accordance with the prescribed requirements.
The programme witnessed the active participation of faculty members and B.Com. 5th Semester students. The interactive nature of the workshop enabled students to clarify their doubts and gain a better understanding of the various stages involved in completing the internship and preparing the final report.
The workshop concluded successfully with the students gaining essential knowledge and practical guidance regarding internship documentation and report preparation. The programme proved to be highly informative and beneficial, helping the students develop greater clarity and confidence in completing their internship programme and preparing their reports effectively.
