Saraswati Puja, the festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, learning, and the arts, was celebrated with great fervour and devotion at Mangaldai Commerce College on 23rd January 2026. The programme was organized by the Mangaldai Commerce College Students’ Union (MCCSU), which took the initiative to conduct the celebration in a befitting manner.
The college campus was beautifully decorated with flowers, colourful ornaments, and other decorative materials, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. A beautifully decorated idol of Goddess Saraswati was installed in a specially adorned pandal on the college premises. The attractive decorations and serene surroundings added to the spiritual ambience of the celebration.
The day began with the traditional rituals of Saraswati Puja. Students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff actively participated in the morning prayers and rituals and sought the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for knowledge, wisdom, academic excellence, and success. The participation of the students reflected their devotion and enthusiasm towards the celebration.
The celebration also attracted visitors from outside the college premises, making the occasion livelier and more memorable. The students’ active involvement, along with the support and cooperation of the college community, contributed significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
The Saraswati Puja celebration at Mangaldai Commerce College was thus a harmonious blend of devotion, cultural tradition, and community participation. It provided an opportunity for students and staff to come together and celebrate the importance of knowledge and learning in a joyful and spiritually uplifting environment.
